Boaz Peters is an urban designer, researcher, and filmmaker working at the intersection of urbanism, justice, and ecology. His research explores expanded territoriality and the dynamic relations between space, politics, ecology, and culture. He holds MSc and BSc degrees from TU Delft, where his thesis examined socio-territorial tensions between Sámi reindeer herders and fossil extraction in Arctic Norway. As part of this he co-directed a short documentary Northbound in 2019. He is currently a PhD candidate in the RUGBIS project, using design research to bridge techno scientific approaches with situated understandings of socio-ecological systems in the planning and design of green blue infrastructure in urbanizing landscapes.
